Residential Home Maintenance
Sustainable HomeCare provides skilled, reliable home maintenance and repair directly to homeowners. Your dedicated Residential Maintenance Technician handles the work himself — and coordinates licensed professionals when a job calls for it.
What We Do
Sustainable HomeCare is built around two complementary services — skilled maintenance and repair performed directly by your technician, and professional contractor coordination when a job requires a licensed specialist.
Your dedicated Residential Maintenance Technician performs the hands-on work personally at every visit. This isn’t a referral service — it’s a skilled craftsman who knows your home and takes personal pride in keeping it in excellent condition.
Some jobs — major electrical, structural work, full HVAC replacement, roofing — require a licensed contractor. When that line is reached, we don’t leave you to figure it out alone. We manage the process on your behalf as part of your plan.
Service Plans
All three plans include visits from your dedicated Residential Maintenance Technician who performs the work directly. Choose the frequency and depth that fits your home and your life.
What Each Visit Looks Like
Every visit follows a consistent structure — your home is assessed, prioritized, and improved in a methodical way that builds on itself visit after visit.
For homeowners who want their home treated as an ongoing priority — addressing small issues before they become expensive problems, every single month.
Four focused visits timed with the seasons. Every visit includes an exterior inspection, HVAC filter replacement, smoke and CO detector check, door and cabinet hardware check, and light bulb replacement — plus seasonal services tailored to your home.
A thorough once-a-year visit that gives your home a fresh, professional set of eyes — catching what has slipped and getting it handled before it becomes a bigger issue.
How It Works
Choose the visit frequency that fits your home and your schedule. We’ll confirm your first visit date and answer any questions you have.
Your dedicated Residential Maintenance Technician comes to your home, learns its history and quirks, and starts building your home’s maintenance record from day one.
Your technician performs the maintenance and repairs personally. Nothing starts without your approval, and you’re informed every step of the way.
You receive a clear summary of what was done and what to watch. Then we come back on schedule — knowing your home better with every visit.
No Plan Required
You don’t need a maintenance plan to call Sustainable HomeCare. We offer on-demand repair and handyman services to any homeowner in our service area — no subscription required, no commitment, just skilled work done right.
Whether it’s something that broke unexpectedly, a nagging repair you’ve been putting off, or a home improvement project you’re finally ready to tackle — give us a call or send an email and we’ll schedule a visit at your convenience.
Something broke and it can’t wait. Leaky faucet, broken door lock, damaged weatherstripping, a fixture that came loose — call us and we’ll get there as quickly as our schedule allows.
That list of repairs and improvements you’ve been building for months? We can work through it in a single visit — efficiently and at a fair hourly rate. No job too small.
Getting ready to list your home, or just moved in and found a punch list of issues? We help sellers and buyers get homes into great shape quickly and professionally.
Installing shelving, building a fence, replacing a door, refreshing trim — if it falls within skilled handyman scope, we can take it on. Call to discuss your project.
When the Job Is Bigger
Part of what sets Sustainable HomeCare apart is the honesty to know when a job requires a licensed specialist — and the network and experience to manage that process for you without adding stress to your life.
Panel upgrades, new circuit runs, and complex wiring require a licensed electrician. We identify the need, source the right professional, and coordinate the job for you.
Sewer lines, water heater replacement, gas lines — we coordinate licensed plumbers and remain your advocate through completion.
Full system replacements and refrigerant work require certified HVAC technicians. We manage the process from quote to final checkout.
Structural repairs and full roof replacements require general contractors. We vet, coordinate, and stay involved so you always have someone in your corner.
We will never pretend a job is within our scope when it isn’t. You’ll get a straight answer on what’s needed and why — with options, never pressure.
Even when licensed professionals do the work, we stay involved — reviewing quotes, managing scheduling, and following up until you’re satisfied.
“Our technician has been coming every quarter. He knows the quirks of our house and pointed out some areas of concern that we see everyday but had not noticed. Last fall he caught some rot on a window frame before it spread further which would have resulted in major damage to a large double-paned window — causing condensation and cloudiness and the need for full window replacement. Had Ryan, our Sustainable HomeCare Tech, not identified and made the necessary repairs it could have cost us over $1,000 for a new window. I know this because I had to replace two other windows before I was smart enough to sign up with Sustainable HomeCare for ongoing evaluation, maintenance, and repairs. That one visit paid for more than a full year of the plan.”— Jeff & Kelly C., Quarterly Plan members
